SUNDAY, 31 JULY 2016, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?"

FIRST READING:Ecclesiastes 1:2,2:21-23 / SECOND READING: Colossians 3:1-5,9-11 / GOSPEL: Luke 12:13-21
Today's first reading begins with vanity of vanity, All is vanity! Observing the present condition of the world any one could repeat the words of the writer. The world around us and even our life is full of consumerism and privatization etc. At the end of day when we are on our bed do we think whether we would get up or not? We are really not certain. Because life mystery. So, we certainly know that we are not going to last long but still we continue to hold on to our belongings. And will the belongings and people whom we love will remain forever? No. Why not our life be for something good? Why not our life bring happiness in the face of others? Let us ask grace from the Lord.

Quote: “I think you travel to search and you come back home to find yourself there.”
